My Legal Practice

I represent both individual clients and classes of employees across a variety of employment issues, including discrimination, retaliation, wage and hour violations, and pay equity claims.

Before joining Outten & Golden, I gained experience in labor and employment law as a Fellow at Murphy Anderson PLLC, where I represented employees in wage and hour and whistleblower cases. I also worked on civil rights cases during law school as an intern at the Lawyers’ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law and the Civil Rights Division at the U.S. Department of Justice.

Notable Cases

  • Secured $150,000 for carpenters in Maryland, who were allegedly misclassified as “common laborers” and paid less than the legally required prevailing wage rate for carpenters

My Story

I have always hoped for a career in which I could positively impact people’s lives. After dedicating much of my time in college to community service and advocacy, I decided to attend law school to develop the tools to fight injustice through the legal system. I chose to focus on employment law because employment is typically the foundation that enables people to access basic necessities and build a sense of security.

Employers wield great power over workers’ lives, and when they abuse that power, the consequences can be devastating. As a judicial law clerk, I found it inspiring to see the difference strong legal advocates made for people facing unjust employment practices. I am proud to join this cause as an attorney at Outten & Golden.
