Daniel Stromberg

Partner and e-Discovery Counsel

My Legal Practice

I’m an advocate for individuals and large groups of people who are taking on their employers for unfair treatment. Much of my work deals with uncovering data and evidence that will bolster and advance our clients’ cases.

Specifically, my role at the firm is to develop e-discovery strategies that peel back the curtain on data that could be relevant to an employee’s complaint. The more complex the case, the more critical it is to identify, demand and ultimately receive stored records, communications and other data that helps reveal the truth about a claim.

E-discovery can serve as the great equalizer between a major company and employees who seek justice. That fact energizes me. I feel such a rush when I’m in court or in negotiations, securing access to vital information for clients. Going toe-to-toe with big business and their defense counsel is something we do well at the firm, and I’m proud to be a part of it.

Notable Cases

  • Managed discovery for the historic gender discrimination case California Civil Rights Department v. Activision Blizzard, which was settled for $54.8 million.
  • Managed discovery for Chen-Oster v. Goldman Sachs, in which O&G secured $215 million for female employees were being paid less than their male colleagues.
  • Managing discovery for Ramos v. Walmart, a class action lawsuit alleging that the retail giant unfairly rejects many qualified job candidates because of their criminal histories, causing disparate impact on Black and Latinx candidates.

My Story

I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. And, yes, I’m a die-hard Buffalo Bills fan. That may explain why I identify with underdogs, and why I fiercely believe in fighting for what you believe in, no matter the odds.

I’m a progressive person who cares passionately about equal rights and fairness for all employees. It’s a pleasure to use my expertise to help people fight for justice. That part of my life is squarely set, and I feel fulfilled. Now I just have to hold out for a Bills Super Bowl win.
