Outten & Golden secures $2 million settlement for FedEx Ground workers who were allegedly misclassified as managers.

According to our complaint, FedEx failed to pay its salaried service managers, who spent almost all of their work time performing customer service and other non-managerial work, any overtime compensation when they worked more than 40 hours a week.

Eligible settlement class members were line-haul service managers employed by FedEx Ground between Aug. 1, 2010, and March 31, 2013, who opt in to receiving a portion of the settlement. Payouts were determined using a formula based on the number of weeks eligible former and current employees worked during the period.

The case is Bozak v. FedEx Ground Package System (No. 3:11 Civ. 00738-RNC), brought in the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut.
