It’s exciting to work at a values-driven organization, and I aim to ensure that our operations reflect the integrity and urgency of our mission, whether we are representing individuals in workplace discrimination cases or fighting for systemic change through impact litigation. My leadership approach is grounded in the recognition that culture and results go hand in hand, and that the strongest and most successful firms are those built on collaboration, curiosity, creativity, continuous improvement, and commitment.
I believe that the most powerful force in any organization is its people—and that when people are supported, empowered to think creatively and share ideas, and connected to a common purpose, there is nothing that they cannot achieve. Great teams are created through trust and shared accountability, and I’m proud of the environment that we are cultivating at Outten & Golden, where people are encouraged to communicate, share, and challenge one another to do better.
We have brought together an incredible group of professionals who—driven to join together to stand up for working people—have cultivated cross-functional collaboration, modernized internal systems, led cultural initiatives that turn values into action, and are creating an infrastructure that will enable us to sustain the important purpose-driven work of the firm into the future, prepared for what’s next.
Before stepping into operations leadership, I spent an earlier chapter of my career practicing law—drawn to the intellectual challenge, the ability to draw on my storytelling background, and the strategic thinking needed to see a case from start to finish. Even as a litigator, I was a systems thinker, always asking what we were solving for and why we were taking a particular approach.
I loved the work, and over time I realized that I was ever more fascinated by how law firms themselves function: how systems, processes, and people intersect to make excellent legal work possible.
In my current role, I find it particularly rewarding to draw on my legal background to support the functioning of a firm where much of the work is aligned with my own values. I’m not just overseeing operations, I’m building strong systems and teams that allow high-impact legal work to thrive, knowing that that work makes a real difference in the lives of clients and communities.
