Whistleblowers
My whistleblower practice has evolved alongside new statutory frameworks such as Sarbanes-Oxley and Dodd-Frank, which have radically changed the rights and protections available to employees who report wrongdoing. Over the past two decades, I’ve successfully guided dozens of corporate whistleblowers through their reporting journeys, helping them address the maze of concerns that can arise, including retaliation and termination at the hands of their employer.
Ultimately, this work has led to several precedent-setting SEC and IRS whistleblower awards, including a $263 million IRS tax fraud recovery – the largest in history – and the SEC’s first ever-fine against an employer, based on a retaliation claim.
In these and other successes, my clients have helped to shed the stigma of reporting misconduct, while ushering in a new era of accountability in corporate America.
Professionals & Executives Representation
I also represent professionals and executives who are dealing with highly nuanced situations tied to retaliation, harassment, sexual assault, discrimination, and other employer misconduct.
Frequently, these situations involve Fortune 500 employers with deep resources, who are formidable adversaries in the courtroom and the boardroom. I’ve taken on dozens of the largest and most powerful employers in America, quietly resolving matters quietly and aggressively pursuing litigation to seek the justice my clients deserve.
In every situation, my clients benefit from the passion, tenacity, and creativity I bring to the table, and my significant experience negotiating with large employers in finance, tech, retail, healthcare and other industries.
For most people, work is more than just a job; it’s an inherent part of their identity and a gauge of self-worth. I don’t represent employees. I represent people.
I like to think that the desire for justice and the passion to pursue it, are written on a person’s DNA. As a litigator, negotiator and advocate, I work tirelessly to secure positive resolutions for my clients. In doing so, I focus on fairness and compassion, and a mindset where doing the right thing for my client is everything.
