My Legal Practice

Employees frequently see and experience illegal behavior at work. But it’s hard to speak up, particularly for employees who work at large companies with seemingly limitless power.

I’ve litigated against Goldman Sachs, Apple, Amazon, Google, and many others. Specifically, I focus on class actions that deal with widespread gender, race, and age discrimination, wage theft, and systemic pay inequities. I put in the time to aggressively match whatever corporate America throws at me, because my clients deserve no less.

These cases start when an employee contacts me, usually when they have been personally wronged at work, and they have a sense or knowledge that what they’ve experienced is happening to many others across their company.

I enjoy fighting for my clients with a data-driven approach, because their stories, matched with data, are at the heart of our cases. By using analytics to study and assess patterns of wrongdoing at a company, we can expose systemic pay disparities – where women or people of color are compensated less than their peers. We can also uncover large-scale instances of wage theft, impacting employees who may never know it has happened.

This method has allowed us to target entrenched discrimination in some of the world’s largest companies, making them a fairer place for all employees.

Notable Cases

  • Secured a $215 million settlement for 2,800 women at Goldman Sachs who were being paid significantly less than their male colleagues.
  • Actively litigating against Amazon, Apple, and Edward Jones for alleged gender discrimination on behalf of women who did not receive the same opportunities as men performing similar work
  • Representing a group of Mike Bloomberg campaign workers challenging the alleged failure to pay overtime.

Credentials

  • B.A., Brown University
  • J.D., New York University School of Law
  • Admitted to practice law in New York
  • Clerked for the Honorable Tanya S. Chutkan in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia

My Story

Work problems are universal, no matter what you do for a living. Whether it’s a difficult manager, a lower salary than deserved, a promotion delayed, or a job application unfairly deniedeveryone has felt injustice, large or small, in the workplace.

This is due to an inherent power imbalance at work. Employees are often expected to put up with a lot for the security of a steady paycheck. Too often, they’re even expected to tolerate illegal and improper conduct.

No one wants to experience discrimination or unfairness at work. When clients call me, I understand their disappointment, frustration, fear, and anxiety. I offer them respect and dignity, and I trust their story.
