My Legal Practice

I’m part of the firm’s class action and individual practice groups, so I work on cases that affect hundreds or thousands of people, as well as cases involving individuals who have personally endured discrimination or retaliation in the workplace.

I aim to communicate sincerely and clearly with clients. I understand that people often reach out to attorneys as they navigate difficult situations – because of that, I strive to combine pragmatism and empathy in my legal practice. I hope to demystify the law and help working people make informed and careful decisions.

Beyond helping today’s clients understand their rights, I became a lawyer in order to deter corporate wrongdoing. I feel lucky to work alongside attorneys who are passionate about their work and clients who are committed to justice.

Notable Matters

Representing plaintiffs in two related class action lawsuits against GEICO, alleging that New York Special Investigators were not properly compensated for their “off-the-clock” work.
Representing plaintiffs in a class action against Facebook for allegedly encouraging insurance companies to steer their ads away from women and older people, in violation of California’s Unruh Civil Rights Act.

My Story

I worked in the service industry for several years after college. I witnessed a variety of illegal business practices, including wage theft and discrimination, and I came to see the vast power differential between an employer and employee. That experience sparked my interest in workers’ rights – I went to law school in order to represent working people, not faceless companies or corporations.

Today, at Outten & Golden, I fight for dignity and equity in the workplace. I consider it a privilege to help people take on their employers – to improve their lives, and often the lives of many other workers.
