My Legal Practice

As a member of Outten & Golden's class action practice group, I represent groups of employees in class and collective actions against companies who illegally underpay, discriminate against, and otherwise mistreat them.

My goal is to hold the employers accountable, gain rightful compensation for workers, and raise the standard for how similar workers will be treated in the future.

Clients often come to me thinking that something is wrong in their workplace, but they aren’t sure what to do about it. I help them understand their rights, and I give them the guidance, tools, and support to demand and receive the compensation that they are owed.

For many of my clients, getting a check for back pay is a life-changing event, and it’s gratifying to help make moments like that happen for people who have been mistreated by their employers.

Notable Matters

  • Represented The California Civil Rights Department in reaching a historic $54.8 million settlement with Activision Blizzard, resolving allegations of gender discrimination in compensation, promotions and other practices.
  • Part of a team that secured a $215 million settlement for women at Goldman Sachs, who accused the firm of pervasive gender discrimination in pay, promotions, and performance evaluations.
  • Representing low-wage workers in class actions against several New York employers, alleging that the companies’ pay policies and practices were in violation of New York Labor Laws.
  • Secured $2.5 million for airport security officers who were allegedly required to stay past the end of their shifts without pay, did not receive timely pay, and did not receive proper wage statements and contractual benefits.

“I fight against companies that choose to place profits above the welfare of their workers, and by working on class actions, I am able to help large groups of workers through a single lawsuit. Together with my colleagues, I work every day to make work better for people across the country.”

My Story

My path to the law was shaped by a desire to help people and to make a broader impact on society. In law school, I worked with a nonprofit focused on gender justice, where I saw how civil rights intersect with the workplace, and how unfair treatment at work can disrupt every aspect of a person’s life. That experience, combined with my own experiences with workplace mistreatment, inspired me to pursue a career in employment law and workplace justice.
