My Legal Practice

I focus my practice on class action litigation that helps groups of workers confront their employers for illegal pay or hiring practices. I also represent individual employees who face workplace discrimination that limits their earnings and career opportunities.

I prioritize building trust with my clients, especially during moments when they feel unheard or dismissed. I want them to know that they are seen and supported. My role is to guide my clients through complex legal issues, help them understand the process, and find ways to challenge their employers’ illegal behavior and make things right.

Notable Cases

  • Representing plaintiffs in a California Unruh Civil Rights Act class action lawsuit against two insurers, alleging that the companies excluded women and/or older people from receiving social media ads and offers based on their age or gender.
  • In two similar class action suits, representing workers in California whose rights to speak up about their work experiences and to try to find jobs free of unlawful employer restrictions, were curtailed by their respective companies.
  • Represented The California Civil Rights Department in reaching a historic $54.8 million settlement with Activision Blizzard, resolving allegations of gender discrimination in compensation, promotions and other practices.
  • Represented clients in a class action against Discover Bank for its practice of denying student loan refinancing and personal loans based solely on immigration status; the case was settled for nearly $1 million.

My Story

During law school, I interned with an organization that promotes workplace justice for pregnant people and caregivers. I saw how unfair treatment at work could disrupt every part of a person’s life, from caring for a family to staying financially stable. That experience sparked my interest in employment law.

In my work today, I often see how broader social inequities show up in the workplace. People spend most of their lives at work, yet their interests are frequently at odds with those of their employers. Class actions are a powerful tool for addressing these systemic issues. I am committed to helping workers assert their rights and push for meaningful change for themselves and others.
