My Legal Practice

As a class action attorney, I represent groups of workers who are prepared to stand up to their employers for mistreatment in the workplace.

Many clients are technology workers who have lost significant wages that they’ve rightly earned because their positions had been misclassified as exempt from overtime pay. Other clients have experienced violations of their rights to discuss their wages or working conditions due to corporate policies limiting speech. Regardless of the situation, my clients are brave enough to fight for their interests and for those of many other workers like them.

I work directly with people who act as class representatives, often guiding them from our very first conversation all the way until the resolution of their cases. It’s rewarding to tell clients that a settlement has been reached in their case, and that they’ll soon receive a well-deserved settlement check from their employers.

Notable Cases

  • Obtained a $14.5 million settlement for employees at a software company who alleged they performed uncompensated work “off-the-clock”.
  • Recovered $9.5 million for employees of a third-party logistics firm who alleged they were misclassified as exempt and denied proper overtime pay.
  • Secured a $4.6 million settlement from Odoo, Inc., a global provider of business management software, for its alleged misclassification of sales representatives as exempt from overtime requirements.
  • Represented a class of 97,000 Google employees in Doe v. Google, a free speech case brought under California’s Private Attorneys General Act (PAGA). After litigating the case for several years, we negotiated a $27 million settlement.

My Story

I first became interested in workers’ rights as an undergraduate at UC Santa Barbara, where I minored in labor studies and did an internship with a local union. After graduating, I was fortunate to get a position as a paralegal at a labor and employment law firm, where I became intent on working in the law and dedicating my career to workers’ rights.

I went to law school at UC Berkeley specifically to become an employment lawyer, and discovered Outten & Golden through at on-campus event. The firm selected me for an internship and I loved the work, the people and culture here. After earning my J.D, I returned as an associate.

I truly care are about the firm’s mission and appreciate the opportunity to do my best work for clients every day.
