It is a privilege to work on cases that help workers to hold powerful employers accountable and level the playing field for working people.
I was drawn to a career in the law because I want to help everyday people confront powerful actors and assert their rights. My early academic pursuits were focused on labor issues in global supply chains and I decided to go to law school after two years as a U.S. Peace Corps volunteer reaffirmed my interest in corporate accountability.
In law school, I worked on cases related to forced labor and broader corporate malfeasance around the world. I then completed a fellowship at a legal non-profit in Washington, D.C. representing clients in both domestic civil rights cases and international human rights cases. I also clerked on the U.S. Court of Federal Claims and gained exposure to a wide range of employment-related cases involving military and civilian federal employees.
I have increasingly seen working people’s rights and interests be sidelined by corporate interests and I am dedicated to ensuring the legal system works to protect worker’s rights. I am thrilled to pursue that goal at Outten & Golden, which has demonstrated decades-long zealous advocacy to advance dignity and equity in the workplace.
