Outten & Golden LLP: Amy F. Shulman Joins Firm’s New York Office

Amy F. Shulman, whose practice has covered a wide range of labor and employment law litigation and transactional matters, has joined Outten & Golden LLP’s New York office as Counsel, the firm said today.

Ms. Shulman, who has joined Outten & Golden’s Individual Practice Area, has negotiated employment-related agreements for executives and professionals, counseled individuals in employment and other workplace disputes, and litigated whistleblower, discrimination, retaliation, contract, workplace tort, and wage-and-hour actions. She also has represented private and public-sector unions in contract interpretation and disciplinary arbitrations.

Ms. Shulman has been appointed to numerous leadership roles in national and local bar associations, including the American Bar Association (ABA) and NELA/NY, the New York affiliate of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA). She has authored and co-authored numerous articles focusing on labor and employment law in ABA and New York State Bar Association publications, among others.

Before joining Outten & Golden LLP, Ms. Shulman was a partner at Broach & Stulberg LLP in New York.  She clerked in the U.S. District Court for the District of Puerto Rico for the Hon. Aida M. Delgado-Colon, then U.S. Magistrate Judge (now U.S. District Judge).

Ms. Shulman is admitted to practice in New York, Massachusetts, and the District of Columbia, and before the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the First and Second Circuits and the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York and the District of Puerto Rico.

Ms. Shulman graduated from Cornell University and received her law degree, cum laude, from Washington College of Law, American University.
