New York Adult Survivors Act (NYASA)

New York Adult Survivors Act – Seeking Justice for Sexual Abuse Survivors
A new act in New York allowing suits from decades old workplace sexual assaults

The New York Adult Survivors Act allows survivors of sexual abuse to bring a complaint during a one-year window regardless of when the abuse occurred. The window runs from November 24, 2022 to November 23, 2023. Survivors whose experiences had previously “timed out” under existing statutes of limitations can seek justice for the abuse they experienced.
