My Legal Practice

I represent workers across many industries. Regardless of where they work, my clients share a common experience: they’ve been wronged by their employers.

Whether through discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage theft, or violation of an agreement, I treat each client with equal care, respect, and dignity when coming up with the best plan to solve their unique workplace issues.

Sometimes, the best solution is an individual negotiation with an employer, which I handle with purpose and sensitivity. Other times, employees can best leverage their power by joining with other workers through a group or class action. I use all the tools available to me to find creative solutions to protect my clients’ professional reputations and compensate them for wrongdoing they suffered in the workplace.

When these cases don’t settle, my clients benefit from my extensive experience litigating individual, class and collective actions through trial and summary judgment.

Notable Matters

Prevailed at arbitration on behalf of a partner with claims of promissory estoppel against his former accounting and consulting firm.
Secured $2.1 million for a group of 50 solar panel installers who alleged late wage payments and related violations.
Achieved a $1.5 million class action settlement against a small restaurant group for illegal pay practices, in addition to significant damages paid to two employees who were subjected to sexual harassment by restaurant customers.
Partnered with a nonprofit in a pro bono case on behalf of an undocumented transgender food service worker who was subjected to misgendering and anti-trans bullying; result was a significant financial recovery from the employer, who also agreed to provide relevant training to employees.
Representing plaintiffs in a proposed class action litigation against Walmart, challenging the company’s use of overly broad criminal history background checks and alleging that the uniform hiring policy disparately impacts Black candidates.

My Story

I come from a long line of workers’ rights advocates – my family members who came to New York City from Cyprus were able to make a life here thanks to the wages they earned as unionized waiters at some of the City’s iconic hotels.

As an attorney at Outten & Golden, I have the privilege of helping employees fight back when it seems like their employers have all the power.
