Outten & Golden LLP Awards Its Fifth Annual Public Interest Award to Brandworkers

On March 6, 2014, Outten & Golden LLP held its Fifth Annual Public Interest Award Ceremony in honor of Brandworkers for its advocacy and grass roots efforts to empower local food production employees with social change tools.   Past recipients of the Public Interest Award have been A Better Balance, Make the Road New York, Domestic Workers United, and New Immigrant Community Empowerment. In addition to an award and networking event, Outten & Golden contributes $10,000 to the non-profit that is being honored.  

Brandworkers is a Queens-based non-profit organization of local food production workers organizing for dignified jobs and a more just food system for everyone.  Brandworkers was founded by Daniel Gross, the Executive Director, in 2007.
