Employment Law Firm Outten & Golden Announces Promotion of Three Lawyers in New York City Office

Employment law firm Outten & Golden LLP announced today the promotion of Molly Brooks, Juno Turner, and Katherine Blostein to its partnership, effective January 1, 2015. The new partners are based in the firm’s New York City office.

Molly Brooks represents employees in wage-and-hour class and collective actions and discrimination cases.  She has extensive experience litigating in federal and state courts as well as before arbitration panels.  Before joining Outten & Golden in 2008, Ms. Brooks litigated federal and state court actions on behalf of labor unions and union-affiliated health and retirement plans as an associate at Cohen, Weiss and Simon, LLP in New York.  She is the Employee Vice-Chair and Associate Editor of the American Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Law Newsletter.  She served on the New York City Bar Association’s Labor and Employment Committee and is an active member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and its New York affiliate.  Ms. Brooks speaks regularly on wage-and-hour topics.

Juno Turner is a member of the firm’s Class Action Practice Group.  She represents workers in class wage-and-hour and discrimination cases.

Before joining the firm in 2009, Ms. Turner was a law clerk to the Honorable James Orenstein in the Eastern District of New York. Before her clerkship, she worked for two years in the Labor Bureau of the New York State Attorney General’s Office, where she investigated and prosecuted minimum wage and overtime violations.

Ms. Turner is a 2006 graduate of Fordham Law School, where she participated in the Stein Scholars Program for Public Interest Law and Ethics. Ms. Turner is admitted to practice in New York State and in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York.

Katherine Blostein is co-chair of the Executives & Professionals Practice Group. She mainly represents individuals in negotiation of matters related to severance, employment, non-competition, expatriate, and international assignment agreements, as well as partnership and equity ownership matters. She is also a member of the firm’s Financial Services, Family Responsibilities and Disabilities Discrimination, and Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual & Transgender (LGBT) Workplace Rights Practice Groups.

Ms. Blostein graduated from New York Law School where she was a member of the Executive Board of the Law Review, a John Marshall Harlan Scholar, and was affiliated with the Center for International Law. She joined Outten & Golden in 2005. Ms. Blostein was recognized as a Rising Star in 2014 by Super Lawyers in the category of Employment & Labor. She is an active member of the Employment Rights & Responsibilities Committee and the International Committee of ABA’s Section of Labor & Employment Law.
