Sonia LinAssociate SONIA R. LIN is an associate at Outten & Golden LLP and the inaugural NYU public interest fellow. Before joining Outten & Golden LLP, Ms. Lin clerked for Judge Denny Chin of the Southern District of New York. She received her B.A. in 2001 from Yale University and her J.D. cum laude in 2008 from NYU, where she was a Root-Tilden-Kern public interest scholar and was awarded the Ann Petluck Poses Memorial Prize for outstanding clinical work. During law school, Ms. Lin was a member of the NYU Immigrant Rights Clinic and interned at the Legal Aid Society - Employment Law Center, where she worked on language rights and national origin discrimination cases. She also interned at a migrant workers center in Beijing, China. Before law school, she provided immigration services at the Legal Aid Society in New York and consulted with the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund. Ms. Lin is admitted to practice in New York State and in the Southern District of New York. She is proficient in Mandarin Chinese. |
