LINDA A. NEILAN is an associate at Outten & Golden LLP, where she represents employees in litigation and negotiation in all areas of employment law, including individual discrimination cases, whistleblower cases, family leave cases, and wage and hour class actions. Linda is the Co-Chair of Outten & Golden’s Disability and Family Responsibilities Discrimination Practice Group.

Linda is active in several bar associations. She serves on the Labor and Employment Committee of the New York City Bar Association. In the ABA Section on Labor and Employment Law, she is Co-Chair of the Family Medical Leave Act Subcommittee of the Federal Labor Standards Legislation Committee and an active member of the Pro Bono Committee. Linda is also an active member of the New York chapter of the National Employment Lawyers Association.

Linda regularly collaborates with non-profit advocacy organizations on pro bono matters involving anti-discrimination issues. She served as co-counsel with the ACLU Women's Rights Project in a sexual harassment case on behalf of three low-wage immigrant women in Upper Manhattan. Ms. Neilan co-counseled with the ACLU Women’s Rights Project and the New York Civil Liberties Union on a multi-plaintiff pregnancy discrimination case against the Suffolk County Police Department that resulted in a favorable jury verdict.* Linda also regularly volunteers at MFY Legal Services’ employment clinic.

Ms. Neilan received her B.S. magna cum laude from the University of Scranton in 1994, her M.A. in education from San Francisco State University in 1999, and her J.D. with honors from Rutgers Law School in 2001. She was a law clerk to United States Magistrate Judge Ronald L. Ellis in the Southern District of New York from 2001 - 2002.

Ms. Neilan is admitted to the state bars of New York and New Jersey, the Southern and Eastern District of New York, the District of New Jersey, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.
