LAUREN SCHWARTZREICH, an associate at Outten & Golden LLP, represents employees in both individual and class actions. Ms. Schwartzreich practices in several areas of employment law, including: discrimination, retaliation and wage and hour.

Ms. Schwartzreich has litigated numerous federal court actions throughout the nation, at the district court and appellate level, and has obtained multi-million-dollar settlements for clients. She has extensive experience handling employment matters for both public and private sector employees.

Ms. Schwartzreich is a former Co-President of GAYLAW Bar Association for LGBT attorneys of Washington, D.C., and has published an article on legal analyses of LGBT parenting in Harvard's BlackLetter Law Journal (Spring 2005). She is the coordinator for the Lesbian and Gay Law Association of Greater New York ("LeGaL") Mentorship Program, volunteers for LeGaL’s Trans Name Change Clinic and serves on the Membership Committee of the National LGBT Bar Association (formerly the National Lesbian and Gay Law Association "NLGLA").

Ms. Schwartzreich is admitted to practice in New York and Washington, D.C., as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. She received both her B.A. and J.D. from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and received the National Association for Women Lawyers, Outstanding Law Student Award.

Before joining Outten & Golden LLP in March 2008, Ms. Schwartzreich represented employees and unions at Woodley & McGillivary in Washington, DC.

While obtaining her law degree, Ms. Schwartzreich worked for the Feminism and Legal Theory Project of Emory University, the National Women's Law Center, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission's Office of Federal Operations, and the Atlanta Volunteer Lawyers Foundation Domestic Violence Project.
