Lauren Schwartzreich
LAUREN E. SCHWARTZREICH, Associate & Co-Chair of the Workplace Privacy, Technology and E-Discovery Practice Group at Outten & Golden LLP, practices in all areas of employment law. She regularly counsels and represents employees concerning contracts, wage and hour, discrimination, and electronic privacy, both on an individual and class-wide basis. Her focus areas include negotiation and litigation involving executive employment agreements, non-competition and severance agreements. Ms. Schwartzreich has litigated numerous federal court actions throughout the nation, at the district court and appellate level, and has obtained multi-million-dollar settlements for clients. She has extensive experience handling employment matters for both public and private sector employees. She helped found Outten & Golden LLP’s ESI Law Consultants practice, a service devoted to counseling law firms on e-discovery matters and best practices. She regularly lectures on employment and e-discovery issues to bar associations. Ms. Schwartzreich recently assisted in writing a chapter for "Restrictive Covenants and Trade Secrets in Employment Law: An International Survey", published by the Bureau of National Affairs, Inc. (BNA) and previously co-authored "Employees’ Privacy Rights in the Digital Age" published in the April 2010 edition of the New York Law Journal. Ms. Schwartzreich serves as Secretary for the LGBT Rights Committee of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and is a member of the program committee for the American Bar Association’s Technology in the Practice and Workplace Committee and the E-Discovery Committee of the New York affiliate of the National Employment Lawyers Association. Ms. Schwartzreich is admitted to practice in New York and Washington, D.C., as well as the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit and the U.S. Court of Federal Claims. She received both her B.A. and J.D. from Emory University in Atlanta, GA, and received the National Association for Women Lawyers, Outstanding Law Student Award. Before joining Outten & Golden LLP in March 2008, Ms. Schwartzreich represented employees and unions at Woodley & McGillivary in Washington, DC. Bar/Professional Activity
