Recognition

Outten and Golden ("O&G ") is focused on helping people not just through legal representation, but through active involvement in the professional, civic, educational, and political movements that affect their lives. O&G lawyers are active in numerous bar associations relating to employment law. All O&G lawyers are members of the National Employment Lawyers Association (NELA) and its New York affiliate, NELA/NY. O&G lawyers are active in the American Bar Association's Labor & Employment Law Section and the New York State Bar Association's Labor & Employment Law Section, and are current or past members of the Labor & Employment Law Committees of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and of the New York County Lawyers Association.

Through these and other professional organizations, O&G attorneys refine and improve the practice of law, advance the views of lawyers who represent employees, and enhance their own abilities as lawyers. They also provide their communities with a level of opportunity and service that would otherwise be unavailable.

O&G lawyers are involved in educational programs as instructors, speakers, panelists and students for employment lawyers, many sponsored by the associations to which they belong. Others are sponsored by organizations such as the Practicing Law Institute, ALI-ABA, the Georgetown University Law Center, and the New York University Law School.

O&G lawyers further the understanding of employee rights and the practice of employee law through articles, presentations, and books. O&G lawyers are frequent contributors to respected law journals and have authored treatises, handbooks, and contributed to legal texts on a wide range of employment issues.
